Platform Update: Berkeley Supper Club

Hi everyone,

Quick update on Berkeley Supper Club:

Over the next month, we’ll be transitioning our newsletter and community platform off Substack and onto a new home.

For the remainder of May, we’ll continue posting here as usual. Starting in June, we’ll be fully moving over to Ghost.

This shift gives us more flexibility as we grow and continue building Berkeley Supper Club as a nonprofit social club centered around shared dining experiences.

What this means for you

For now, nothing changes.

Events will continue to run through Luma, and membership remains free and tied to being part of the community.

Starting in June, you’ll begin receiving emails from our new platform instead of Substack.

We’ll share a reminder and make the transition simple when the time comes.

For paid subscribers

We are honoring all existing commitments in full.

While subscriptions have not yet transferred automatically between platforms, your remaining membership period will be carried over, and you’ll continue to receive the benefits you’ve already paid for.

We’ll follow up directly with any simple next steps, if needed.

This is mostly a backend change, but an important one as we continue to build something more durable and community-owned.
